Cisco network Cloud: New Possibilities

The phenomenon of calculations “in a network cloud” (cloud computing) causes a great interest all over the world: the new concept allows to give services on demand that promotes decrease in expenses. Besides, such approach allows to lower complexity of information systems, and also to raise their scalability and availability. The new model gives to suppliers of operated services (Managed Services) wide and fascinating possibilities. However in the field till now there is no settled terminology [therefore further in the text the English term "cloud computing" - a comment of recentury] will be used, existing services are often confused to futuristic fabrications (vaporware), and models of granting of services in the course of the distribution continue to change. Many potential clients do not know, whether new services are necessary to them, and service providers have no representation as it is better to integrate “cloudy” architecture and as it is better to build its marketing.
In this document the general description of terminology, concepts and technology requirements “cloud computing” is given. Besides, components of intellectual network Cisco IP NGN which correspond to principles cloud computing will be described and can form a basis for introduction of new services. Safety, quality of services (QoS), high availability, compatibility, mobility of services and some other characteristics of networks Cisco IP NGN are considered crucial for successful granting of services “cloud computing”.
Cloud Computing in general
Since network ARPANET which has formed a basis for the popular Internet has been created, in the world there was a set of the network concepts developed for corporate customers and individual users. Last years all extends the concept “cloud computing” according to which network and computing resources, and also resources of system of storage should be given to each person on demand, approximately as an electricity more widely.
