Cisco network Cloud: New Possibilities

On idea, the approach “cloud computing” should democratise access to resources and give the chance to users to get effectively so much services, how many it is necessary for them (within the limits of the accessible budget). In this sense some analysts began to speak about network transformation into “the fourth municipal service” – in addition to a waterpipe, an electricity and telecommunication.
In the early nineties the idea of “grid-calculations” (grid computing) which represents allocation of computing resources and resources of storage from the general pool of independent systems, as a rule, for fundamental scientific works and resursoemkih scientific appendices was extended. “Cloud computing” – the further evolution of the same idea of association of base resources for access granting to web-services, appendices and resources of system of storage. Recently in the general concept “cloud computing” began to allocate some categories (drawing 1 see):
. ● the Information technology as service (IT as a service, ITaaS) – service model at which the organisation or the private person signs the contract with a communication statement on access reception to a network and the services given individually or a package (for example, services of network reservation, emergency restoration, virtual private networks, voice transfers under report IP – VoIP, a hosting, video observation, web-conferences).
. ● the Software as service (Software as a Service, SaaS) – access to the appendix through a network of a communication statement without resident installation of the appendix on the computer of the user. The appendix works on a server of service provider SaaS and gives out to the user results of calculations. The user does not buy the appendix, and pays only for its time use through the Internet-API. The term “SaaS” has replaced a former designation of suppliers of similar services which were called ASP (application service provider – the service provider of access to appendices) earlier.
