To the menu can get, having pressed function key F8 during loading: the Dispatcher of loading (Boot Manager) will display in the bottom part of the screen a window offering to you to press F8 to enter into the loading menu.
Testing of the software for compatibility will be one of infrequent cases of application of this menu. For example, having set to Include mode VGA, I checked, whether really Windows XP is loaded in mode VGA. Sometimes it allows to start some programs – means, I knowingly tried various options of a configuration of the software that the appendix could work under Windows XP.
